
The Bulldogs will be on the road again, facing the Grundy Golden Wave at Nelson Memorial Field on Friday at 7 p.m.
Tazewell sits at 2-3, after a setback at Riverheads last week. In the loss, Carter Creasy was 18 for 31 passing for 194 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a score. Kaizon Taylor led the Bulldog defense with 12 ½ tackles and one tackle for loss.
Grundy is 2-2, after a 62-21 win over Honaker. In the win, Grundy rushed for over 500 yards. Ian Scammell scored three touchdowns and rushed for 274 yards. Logan Lester added 129 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bulldogs will look to make it three in a row over the Golden Wave as Tazewell defeated Grundy 47-14 in 2021 and 42-18 in 2019. Both of those games were played at Bulldog Stadium. Tazewell’s last trip to Nelson Memorial Field resulted in a 36-22 defeat.
In last year’s contest, QB Carter Creasy passed for 358 yards and six touchdowns. Creasy also rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown. Logan McDonald caught 4 passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
