Friday’s game marks the 72nd meeting all-time between Tazewell and Marion … The Bulldogs hold a 43-26-2 edge in the series … Tazewell has won three straight in the series … The Bulldogs are 21-10-2 at home in the series… Last year, Tazewell posted a 40-14 victory over the Hurricanes at Hurricane Stadium … The Bulldogs passed for 407 yards in the win but were limited to 48 yards on the ground on 26 carries.
Many of the previous contests between Tazewell and Marion have been lopsided, as the last 12 meetings have been decided by at least 12 points. Marion holds an 8 to 4 advantage in those games.

Over the past three games, Carter Creasy has thrown for 939 yards and eleven passing touchdowns while rushing for 109 yards… Last time out against Marion, he threw for five scores and 383 yards on 23-of-34 passing.
Hauling in The Catches . . .
Cassius Harris leads the team with 614 yards receiving this year on 47 catches … Over the past three games, Harris has caught 25 passes for 410 yards and five scores … Harris also leads the team with 9 rushing touchdowns, including two in the last two games… With 192 career receptions, Harris is eight receptions short of becoming just the fourth player in VHSL history to record 200 receptions for a career.

Eight different players on Tazewell’s roster have scored at least one touchdown this season – Cassius Harris, Logan McDonald, Kaizon Taylor, Brock Alley, Carter Creasy, Braxton Dowdy, AyvRee Zeigler, and Tyler Gillespie.
